Chicken Shawarma Pita Pizza Recipe

This Lebanese fashion fowl shawarma pita pizza is made on a grilled pita bread and topped with juicy, tender, well-seasoned hen, veges & tahini sauce.

Chicken Shawarma Pita Pizza Recipe

For the Chicken :

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon shawarma seasoning see notes
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 6 4 oz pieces boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 2 garlic cloves minced

For the Tahini Sauce :

  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup Tahini paste

To Assemble :

  • Roasted red peppers diced
  • Red onion sliced
  • Roma tomatoes sliced
  • Pickled banana peppers sliced
  • 6 Large pita breads
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • Flat leaf parsley roughly chopped


  1. To make the marinade, whisk the olive oil, shawarma seasoning, garlic and lemon juice until properly combined.
  2. Coat the fowl with the marinade and allow it sit down in the fridge for as a minimum 20 minutes, preferably a few hours. heat a grill or griddle pan over medium warmness, and grill the bird until properly cooked and browned, about eight-10 mins. put off from the warmth and slice.
